I would love to get the opinion of all those gamers out there. Do you think the Nintendo Wii is ahead of its time with the motion controller or do you think it’s an annoying system that is a few steps behind the Xbox 350 and PS3?

It is for sure a fad being fueled by little children and their current wants. It is basically a toy, whereas the other game machines are more serious.

It lies somewhere in the middle. Nintendo Wii is a novel fad, but without the Wiimote it's pretty much just Gamecube all over again. So far, the games that heavily feature the Wiimote feel like minigames (Trauma Center especially). Although, I'm going to get it just for SSBB. I must play SSBB. Now. :(

I think it's a fad that will decrease more and more as people realise that the PS3 or the Xbox 360 has more capiable to do things online and has more games with better game play. And most of the Nintendo Wii owners are in Middle School or in Grade School. And almsot all those kids buy it because of the controlers which I know will break alot. So yes the Nintendo Wii is just a annoying fad that is growing to a end everyday when kids realise they have wasted their money.

We have a Nintendo Wii, and sure it's a marketing ploy to get you to buy it, but every company is out to make money, this isn't any different. We love our Wii. My husband loves it, my kids love it, and I think it's pretty cool too. The controller is fun, and different. I wouldn't even compare it to a 360 or PS3, because it doesnt have that kind of graphics and what not. It's certainly more inexpensive and I think it's worth the price.
