Has a spouse ever given you an ultimatum?

My husband is definately one to say it's either this or me. The dumbest things and he will want me to give them up to keep him. The most recent thing was I usually go shopping 2-3 times a week and he feels that I take to long, so he told me either limit it to 1 time a week and cut down the time or he will leave. Now this man works all week 10 plus hours a day and then goes to his friends after work for hours. He is never here only on Sundays for a few hours in the morning and evening.
I do not give him ultimatum's only in extreme circumstances. I don't think this is fair. So how about you, do you have someone like that in your life? Any advice?

WOW that's ugly! I had a husband like that and well we are No longer together anymore! The man I am with now gives me the time and space (when we can of course) to do what it is that I would like to do! That will include him sitting in the van playing with the children for me =) I know to say leave sounds easy but really sit back and write down all the good things and all the bad and see which out weights the other, then sit and think do you really need to be on a time limited I mean you are married (grown up now) and for him to have his time and space that just seems to unfair. What ever you decide I am here for you. I hope everything will work out in the way you would like

Thank you so much for the advice. That's exactly how I feel. I'm grown up and he has his space. This is undoubtedly unfair!
