Our cat Wilbur is an extremely good mouse catcher, especially considering the fact that whoever his first owner was had his front paws declawed. But we have seen the results of his catching mice and other "critters" around our house. One "critter" he is really wanting to get a hold of is my daughter's gerbil Little Bit. He doesn't understand that this is one "critter" he can't have because we want to keep her. Whenever he comes into the house we have to move Little Bit into another room and close the door. I really don't think he can get to her because the cage has small bars and so I don't think he can reach her. But if we don't know he has come close to her cage he will see her and start slapping at the cage trying his best to get at her. I'm always afraid the poor little gerbil will have a heart attack so we just move her. Poor Wilbur, he just doesn't see why we won't let him get her and he will sit and flip his tail while looking up at the chair where her cage had been, Ha! Ha!

lol, that reminds me of a cat and some guinea pigs we used to have. In this case the cat had her claws and the bars were wide enough apart that she could get her claws in. Nothing ever happened to the guinea pigs though because she knew she wasn't supposed to mess with them. She contented herself with watching them by the hour. I guess that was her version of TV.
