James Brown & Pavarotti - An Amazing Colaboration - Check It Out |
|
Every so often, you come across a musical performance that is unbelievable, gets to you emotionally or even takes your breath away. Well tonight while surfing YouTube, I think I might have just came across one of those momments. Take a few minutes and check out this colaboration between world famost opera singer Pavarotti and the Godfather of Soul, James Brown. I don't think that many of today's singers, or what's commonly called "CD Makers", can compare to these two classic performers. Take a look and check out the pure joy you see on James Brown's face he gets from performing with Pavarotti. Here is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCIyzNISw1Q Lloyd

lloydanthony111 (960) | 1 year ago | You will really like this performance of the 2 titans. I had the honor of viewing the body of James Brown at the world famous Apollo theater in Harlem, New York. It was truly an amazing event. The lines of people wanting to get inside and see him streatched fully around 2 city blocks on both sides of the Apollo Theater. It took us almost 4 hours to get in. While we waited in the line, people sang, danced and told stories about James Brown. Across the street from the Apollo an electronic store blasted a medley of James Brown's recordings. People on that side of the street, danced and sang throughout the afternoon and evening as up to 10 different news satellite trucks from all the major networks recorded it. I can't you tell what an amazing day it was. To see thousands of people of all colors come out to pay their respect to Mr. Brown was heartwarming. To see hundreds of police officers doing their jobs and so see helicoptors swarming above was overwhelming. He might have had his faults, but he will be missed. Lloyd

Idlewild (4466) | 1 year ago | Lloyd, that must have been great. But that's the kind of send-off I'd expect for the 'hardest working man in showbiz'! I was fortunate to have seen him in concert in NYC back in 1984, it was a great show. I forget how many people he had on stage in his band, but they sounded great.

10. dragonryder (3574) | 1 year ago | I have always enjoyed listening to James Brown. I don't think there is any type of music or performer he could play with that James Brown would not enjoy. He always puts 110% effort into his music. He is such a joy to watch. The song was pretty good. thank you for sharing it.
