Brand new to Anime  |

|  Okay, I am new to anime and I have fallen in love with it. I want to know more. Can anyone tell me where I can learn more? I love Samurai Deeper Kyo so I have one oinline to learn more about the history there and also Mirage of Blaze, which seems to be a modern day account of the same time period but from a different perspective. Can anyone tell me some really great anime and where ot find it? I ahve Dish network and it seems to be a bit limited. Is there and anime network that I can order?

| |  One of the famous site for anime is Youtube, you can hear a lot of anime lovers say that they use this a lot.
One of the best anime you could watch is Naruto or Bleach. Both are still running, especially Naruto. Naruto has launched its new episodes lately.
Naruto is one of the best animes out there, you will be hooked to this instantly because of the storyline and the characters involved here. You will develop a sense a comradery if you will watch this. This is a cool anime series, its about a boy named Naruto whose really strong but he doesnt know where his strength came from until he discovered the monster that is sealed to his body.
I dont want to spoil this anime series so just check it out, its worth the time to watch it.

| |  Manga is the comic book form many anime are based off of. OVA is a set of episodes made after the show game or what have you ends. Usually not important to the original storyline and in many cases better funded than the show itself. They may take place before or after the series or sometimes "in between" episodes.

This page only hosts anime that isn't lisenced in North America for download.It isn't the best page out there but it's not bad. | | | | | | |

| | That'd be L of Death Note fame in case you didn't know, though if you compliment it you probably do. Now, if you liked Kyo you should try finding some Samurai Champloo. It's got a great style of art that's different from almost everything else but awesome at the same time.
Air is a classic series, and not licensed for Zodd only knows what reasons, maybe because it's based off an eroge... but yeah I'll reiterate fansub.tv and add a few others tokyotosho and baka updates you already have had reccomended to you but they are good. Tied in with animenfo.com or anidb they'll get you pretty much anything you want.

| |  For the largest access to the world of anime you will need to get involved with downloading torrents. First i would recomend downloading a torrent client called uTorrent. then visit sites like www.baka-updates.com www.tokyotosho.com to find the actual torrent files to start downloading these anime series.
Also to help you get an idea of what type of anime you might want to check out go to this site. i have included the direct address to the top 200 most popular series according to this website. Almost all the good anime series are best viewed with the Japanese voices, with English subtitles. Voice acting in Japan is big business, and they really do an amazing job. the jobs done when dubbed to English is almost a disgrace to the anime for how poorly it is done by comparison. if you are having any problems with getting things going to download, then check back with me, and i will do my best to help you get going.

It is true there's a bit of a war going on between fans of the dubbed version and fans of the sub titles. This is because the dubs are very often, like sivart has mentioned, crap. However this rule doesn't always hold true, Bubblegum Crisis 2040, Elfen Lied and Blue Gender had reasonably well done dub jobs. And fairly any of Disney's remakes have actual talent in them. And yes, it's because voice acting is a big big part of japan's business sector. They've got major schools dedicated to solely that.
That said, I'm more of a subtitle guy myself. ;p | | | |

| |  I can recommend Sayuki, Inuyasha Trigun and Martian successor Nadesico as good series, theres alot of good movies too like vampire hunter D, Ghost in the shell. It really depends on your tastes what you'll like most.
