Walt Disney got the idea for Mickey Mouse from watching mice play in a garage, where he was forced to work, because he could not afford to rent an art studio. In Disney's Fantasia, the Sorcerer to whom Mickey played an apprentice was named Yensid, which is Disney spelled backward. "101 Dalmatians" and "Peter Pan" are the only Disney animations in which both of a character's parents are present and don't die during the movie. I am a big Disney fan and these facts are interesting. I found them and had to post them. Do you like Disney movies? I have 2 children, so I am watching them all the time. Some of my favorites are Fantasia, Winnie the pooh, Shreck, and the new movie cars. How about you? Do you watch Disney movies? What is your fave? What did you think about these facts?

Since I too am a huge Disney fan, I have heard these facts before. Lol but thank you for posting them, because they are really interesting! The one about 101 Dalmations and Peter Pan is kind of creepy; I wonder what his reasoning was behind this? And my favorite Disney movies are the princess ones, in the order of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, etc. I also really like Peter Pan and the Jungle Book, and pretty much all of the Pooh movies. Fantasia is a good movie as well, but mostly to fall asleep to, since it gets kind of boring (at least in my opinion) to watch. I too LOVE Disney!

I am huge disney fan....but i disagree with peter pan and 101 dalmations theory....Sleeping Beautys parents are present during the film as well and neither of them perish during the film.

Disney has done great work but I think the older stuff is the best. I think then now dont focus on family stories enough.

I agree; the older movies are definitely the best! I hate how they are making sequels to all the classics. In fact, I think this would make a good discussion. Thanks for the idea!
