Jeet Kune Do - Way of the intercepting fist  | |  There are many kinds of martial arts but my favorite is Jeet Kune Do and Ninjutsu.
Well lets discuss about Jeet Kune Do. Jeet Kune Do's literal translation is "Way of the intercepting fist" and it was developed by Bruce Lee in 1967. Jeet Kune Do's fighting system was the first "Free-Form" martial art ever to be brought to martial arts.
Jeet Kune Do is also known as JKD(by its abbreviation).It is the simplistic system that allow the fighter to be creative in his own expression of JKD.

This is about Bruce Lee's Philosophy behind Jeet Kune Do...
He invented a new style, a composite, modified method.. He dint want people to cling on to styles, patterns or molds.. so went on to invent a free form of martial arts..!
The name JKD is merely a name used, a mirror in which to see Ourselves..
Every movement is being so itself ie; nothing artificial about it..!! JKD is simply the direct expression of one's feeelings with the Minimum of movements and energy..!!!
Finally, The patterning of this art is the right mixture with the right amount of moves and style..!!

Bruce developed JKD from existing martial arts. He practiced various martial arts techniques and he took all the best moves from them. Then he started putting them together and slowly he perfected those moves by ignoring all that is unnecessary for combact. Thus he formed JKD. | |

BJJ, Muay Thai and some Wrestling guys won all...no JKD.

I have talked to a few outstanding instructors of JKD and they said JKD is one of the hardest things you could ever do. JKD is the one art that I really want to learn. I like JKD for its simple movements and direct movements. The basics are the things I find most important. It's hard to say that JKD is the best of the martial arts, it depends on the student and how much effort he puts into it.
