the attendance to classes,a standard of judging students or not?

When we were in primary school, middle school and high school, attendance in classes is compulsory.unless we were ill or had urgent family issue,we had no way to skip any class.but as we enroll in university, dont you think its time to make a change:we need to choose what we think worthwhile to listen to.i dont see any point to go to some classes everytime, though our teachers sometimes check the attendance.many students just go in order not to leave an absence record.thats all they do something else in class.does that make sense?i'd rather forget the record and do rewarding things instead. the standard of a good student, should focuses on the real ability of the student in different subjects, but not the empty record of attendance.skipping classes doesnt mean you're bad.

Shiiiiiiiiit,I just finished my response,my pc restarted... Have to retype my feelings again! so I'll just make it simple for me ,I skiped almost all kinds of classes last two years, and failed to pass some of them of course... now,I attend most of my courses... for me,I think I'll polish myself in various fields not only on school classes...

As far as our university is concerned, the attendance in class is never an issue - that makes me really happy.. LOL For our teachers, the attendance is not a measure of the students' abilities - I believe that's OK, just for as long as there's something in your head.
