I spent the morning out in the garden. I heard a rooster, but no sign of that cat... Oliver 2nd or even Chuck! Yes, we named the dog too. His owners won't know lol... but we do like to play grandparents to other people's pets......

One of my cats, one of my many cats, came to me as a tiny kitten with this adorable, mischievous look on her little face. I thought, that's it, she needs a middle name. Why, you may ask?
Well, when you call somebody by their...

A couple years back, when we moved, our biggest male cat was lost temporariliy outdoors and our female cat started exhibiting unusual behavior. She would roll on the floor and hide under the bed. And, she didn't want to be petted,...

Currently, our two cats share the same litter box. But, I've noticed that the big male cat beats up on the female cat after she uses the litter box.
I'm not sure if he considers it to be his sole litter box property or if he's...

Our neighbor's cat caught a bird outside today.
She does this all the time, and doesn't seem to be affected by it. It's sad, because I love birds. But, she's a cat, so she does what she wants!
I'm worried though that the...

My female cat gets extremely dry skin during the summer and develops bad skin irritations.
She keeps cleaning her fur in one spot, until the hair falls out. And, I'm sure that's her way of trying to treat an itchy spot.
I...

I'm worried that my female cat might run outside and get into a fight with one of the neighborhood cats.
She's a real puff-ball, but she can hiss a lot!
If a cat gets spayed, does she lose the ability to defend herself?

Before our male cat was neutered, he would spray our front door. We lived in an apartment at the time.
We took him to the vet shortly thereafter and the spraying stopped. But, I've never understood why he would choose to mark...

Recently, I read that lilies are poisonous to cats and kittens. If you've recently received a bouquet of flowers or lilies and have noticed that your cat is vomiting excessively or demonstrating signs of blindness or paralysis,...

I've heard that cats have a third eyelid. Do you think that's true. Why would a cat need more eyelids? Maybe it has something to do with living outdoors. I've never seen them, but I have noticed that my cats eyes (the black inner...

My cat cleans herself after flea treatments and I'm worried that she'll get sick.
I don't want to use harmful chemicals on her fur, but can't live with the fleas.
I'd love to find an over the counter non-toxic flea control...

Last week my best friend told me that her cat doesn't like her anymore. Lately, he doesn't want to be petted and spends most of his days hiding in the closet. She said that he didn't act this way before she moved into her new...
