Beta Blockers............do they work for you ??

A couple of years ago, I was prescribed Propranalol beta blockers. I had a irregular heart beat. Since then, apart from exesive sweating, I have noticed no significant imporovment. Do these tablets really work ???

I had a bad experience regarding being prescribed a too higher dose of beta blockers. It basically almost stopped my heart. Anyone had the same experience.
