I went to the library to return the books that needed returning. When I was sticking them in the chute that's outside the library door, I scraped my thumb on the metal part. Serves me right for turning in...

Good night, myLot!

Stacey @xstitcher (40715) • Petaluma, California 6 Oct

It's 8:57 a.m. by my computer clock, and I need to get to bed. Appointment tomorrow at 9:30 a.m., which I'm guessing will be about an hour, and then I hope to get some work done on dolls/Googly Pals. Need to figure out where I...

I just marked my thirty-eighth book in this year's GoodReads challenge finished. I have a couple more books to read before I return my stack to the library. Tomorrow I have another in-my-apartment appointment with someone,...

Good Evening, Saturday, 3 October

Valerie J. Routhieaux @just4him (323110) • Green Bay, Wisconsin 3 Oct

It's been a very good day today. Earlier this week I was totally frustrated with AI and my work with Manifest Destiny. Nothing I did helped until this morning. I've been noodling this problem since Tuesday or Wednesday. Today, I...

Tomorrow I'm working from 9:30a.m.-2:30 p.m. Tomorrow is Friday, so the next day (Saturday) I'll be home. Tomorrow after work, since I'll be getting back to town a little earlier, I'd like to go to...

Back...

Stacey @xstitcher (40715) • Petaluma, California 15 Sep

I went to the library, when I get off the bus I walk the rest of the way. The road in front of the library is divided by a concrete part with trees. On the side furthest away from the library, there were random obvious car...

The problem I have with surveys...

Stacey @xstitcher (40715) • Petaluma, California 15 Sep

...is that some of them are so long! By the end of one of the super long ones, I am so bored--if that's the word. I just want the survey to be over already! Nevertheless, I'm going to be trying to do surveys...

Gluing more stuff...

Stacey @xstitcher (40715) • Petaluma, California 11 Sep

I'm gluing more stuff into the dolls' hands--some take two "gluing sessions" as opposed to one. This guy is carrying a stack of books. Other dolls got coffee/water mugs in their hands, soccer balls, and I can't see from here...

Dolls

Stacey @xstitcher (40715) • Petaluma, California 8 Sep

I finished putting a couple of dolls completely together, and then mostly glued stuff in dolls' hands. I need to check again to see when my next shipment of miniature "stuff" is coming, if I remember from the last time I looked...

I went to the library today--I was thinking of going tomorrow, but then I remembered the busses don't run on the weekends anymore, so I went today. I stuck four books that I had read into the return slot, and...

Reading update

Lena Kovadlo @lovebuglena (51293) • Staten Island, New York 11 Aug

I went to Goodreads and it’s showing that I’ve read 28 books so far in 2026. I’ve actually read 29 bucks but I could not find one book on Goodreads so I could not add it to my reading challenge. My goal for this year was to read...

Do movies teach better than books?

Orogun Oghenekome @eLdav1s (1063) • Nigeria 20 Jul

These days we have had great books adapted to movies, and while there are those who have not only watched the movie, have also read the book we still have tons of viewers who focus on just the movie. Most people claim books are...

It's 9:15 by my computer clock, and I need to get to bed. Tomorrow I have an interview via Zoom or one of those kinds of things. Tuesday I have my working interview at the preschool in Rohnert Park. After that I have nothing...

Absolutely nothing.

Stacey @xstitcher (40715) • Petaluma, California 11 Jul

That's what was in my mailbox today. Oh well, at least I got out. It's 79 degrees F according to the little widget in the corner of my screen, but it feels hotter. Staying in now. Of course, pictures still aren't working, I...

I went across the street to the Hallmark store because something I had ordered came in. After picking that up I went to the bus stop and waited a bit for the bus that took me across town to the library, where I picked up two...

Good morning, Friday, 26 June

Valerie J. Routhieaux @just4him (323110) • Green Bay, Wisconsin 26 Jun

It's Friday. Do you know how I know? The garbage people are here making lots of noise as they tip those dumpsters into the truck. They come on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Unless it's a holiday. Then their schedule and the...

I changed the Goodreads widget on my blog

Macy @almostoveryou (5244) • Philippines 25 Jun

It's time to move on. For the longest time, I've had the CURRENTLY READING widget on my blog, and it's taking forever to finish all the books that I've listed there. And I've been feeling like a total failure. I want to feel...

Good morning, Thursday, 25 June

Valerie J. Routhieaux @just4him (323110) • Green Bay, Wisconsin 25 Jun

Yes, it's me. Again, it's been a busy month with books and medical appointments. I made an appointment to see my doctor about my intense back pain that has been going on since April. That resulted in an MRI and an appointment...

I went to the library, and picked up the two books that I had on hold. When I went to the counter the librarian noted one of the books I was reading and made a comment about how so many people were reading it. Then when I said...
