Brinjal or egg fruit is another vegetable which grow well in monsoon. Brinjal is called begun in bengali and baigan in hindi. In the monsoon the small formations come. The vegetable becomes ripe in August and september.

Today I had drumstick brinjal potato curry with rice. Drumstick in bengali is called danta. Also pumpkin is added in the curry. Some bengali use the seeds of jackfruit boil them and add in the curry. It tastes nice.
