I am thinking of a career switch - engineering to sales? Any advice?

I am tired of doing engineering work..and the hours are long. I want to switch to sales ie.selling my company's products then working on the products in the manufacturing floor.Any advice friends?

If all the jobs in the world paid the same.. would u still be in the same field of career? If no.. what job would u switch to?
