On our way home on the weekend, we passed through Lake Grace and Lake King, areas that have a lot of salt lakes. Our road went through the middle of one of the lakes and locals call this the ‘causeway’.

We visited the no-longer-existing settlement of Tenindewa yesterday. There is a tiny hall there which the community makes use of from time to time. Across a small salt lake behind the hall is a memorial to the one-room school that...
