Is an MP3 player as good as an Ipod?

I lost my Ipod:( So now I want to get a new one, but theyre exspencive. So I am thinking of getting an MP3 player, because I assume they are a bit cheaper. Are they just as good as an Ipod?

I loved walmart when they had the layway and the comparison shopping. It just isn't the same any more. I mean now I have to go shopping in 3 different stores and I don't see how that is fair to the consumers. Don't they realize...

this is a strange question i know it is is difficult to compare between the two...but in terms of cost Compaq is cheaper...and in terms of attraction hp is good i sa thers is not much difference between the two...but may differin...
