How do you prevent your eyes from watering when cutting onions?

I dislike cutting onions because everytime I cut them my eyes start burning and watering. Its pretty annoying. Do you know any way to prevent this phenomenon? Any household tricks or tips? I'm pretty much interested

Crying or shedding of tears is a healthy excercise. Many cry for various reasons. Some due to emotions. Some due to cutting up onions in the kitchens. What makes you cry. Did you feel better after you did?
