It is a lovely experience to see the sea waters from the deck of ship. As the ship has AC floors, one has to come out and stand at the deck to sea the view of the sea waters. There are different views in different times of the...

The photo is of the deck that the owners of this house have had constructed. It’s a lovely place to sit and look out over the valley. If you sit quietly, you see lots of birds on the lawn and in the trees. The quendas also come...

Happy to have found a new Hibiscus plant for my deck. Already seeing huge red blooms. Hummingbirds are enjoying. When butterflies arrive in a few weeks, they will visit the nectar as well.
A few of the nurseries were late in...

Went to bed with the sound of rain and woke up with the rain as well. All gone now, but has been a cloudy Sunday. Still has been a great day. The birds in my collage, along with many more, have visited the backyard feeders. Even...

Snapped this photo while in the recliner yesterday morning. The sun was making its way up at 7:30 am. I normally don't see a sunrise, only the sunsets from my deck.
But the last several mornings I have been resting in the...

Each winter I start feeding the birds at my deck feeder. I buy the whole unsalted peanuts for them. I buy them in bulk to save on the cost. Many birds visit like the Blue Jays (in the photo), Cardinals, Doves, Woodpeckers, and...

Today has been a good one. Sunshine all day. Only in the 40s F, but still a nice day. We have "bone chilling" mornings coming our way, according to the meteorologist. 20s for the low, for the next week at least.
Funny how the...

Snapped this photo of the last sunset for October 2022. Taken from my deck yesterday. Many clouds around. But I could see a little sun to share with you.
I always enjoy watching the sunsets from the deck. A few houses are in the...

Strange weather today. Wind. Rain Hail. And then it was over in about ten minutes. Only in the 40s for the high today. Roller coaster continues.
Snapped a quick video of my deck when this happened. Looked strange seeing pieces of...

Woke up to about an inch of snow. Not much but it is pretty to see.
Only a high of 32 degrees today. But we have sunshine. The temperatures drop again tonight into the teens.
Laundry is almost done. Enjoying watching the birds...

Went out a few minutes ago to feed the birds. Not thinking about the weather. And saw the flurries falling.
Came back inside. The last thing I need is to slip and fall on the deck.
We shouldn't get much more than a dusting. But...

Even when the rain falls, the birds show up at the deck bird feeder.
For now I am feeing them whole unsalted peanuts. They love these.
Blue Jays in this photo each had two peanuts in their mouths.
They fly to the trees to...

And so it begins again. Time to start feeding the birds for the winter. I have seen many blue jays and doves in the bird bath recently.
Time to get out the peanuts. I have ordered sunflower seeds as well.
If you feed the birds...

After the rain yesterday, I noticed many clouds at sunset.
Snapped a few photos from the deck. Not many colors but a little cloud drama going on.
They are all so different, depending on the clouds.
I have never seen a bad...

Finally got a halfway decent photo of a sunset yesterday. Was standing out on the deck and noticed the orange colors.
Grabbed my camera and snapped a few photos. Not as good as it was in person. But the skies were lit up orange...

One tree near my deck. I tried to submit a picture with my iPad and as you can see it did. If I use pictures it looks as if I’ll have to use my IPad . I still can’t submit from my desktop.

Another rainy day here. Sunshine earlier but the rain has started now. And a tornado warning was just issued.
The hummingbirds enjoy the rain. I see them more at the deck feeder when the raindrops are falling.
Snapped this one...

For the past couple of years I have noticed only two or three hummingbirds visit the feeders in the back. I am used to seeing several at both feeders.
Have always had the perch attached above the feeder. They always seem to...

I was sitting on the steps watching the rabbits. I heard him literally zoom over my head and perched on the stick beside the feeder.
