What time do you eat supper?

All my life, I ate supper at 5 pm, with my parents. I think it was because we were in bed by 7 or 8. But my husband´s family frequently eats at 9 or 10 at night! Is this normal? My hubby thinks I´m nuts because I start cooking so...
