I see people buying water all the time. I wonder if in fact, the water they are buying is city water that has been filtered?

Water does in fact taste lots better when it is filtered using my Britta water pitcher filter and more tasty when it is left inside the refrigerator keeping cold, but I wonder, being the only one in my home drinking this filtered...
