Yes, late morning we got a good rain for about 30 minutes. That is better than we have had all summer. No thunder or lightning, but rain none the less. I am very happy. We have gotten a couple of small droplets for a couple of...

I do remember Jay Leno as a former host of The Tonight Show that was broadcast on the National Broadcasting Company (NBC) from 1992-2009.
Jay has been doing his part to assist the firefighters and first responders by serving...

The situation in LA was like a giant fire meets a hurricane and there is no system in the world who could handle it. You can't fly helicopters over or use hoses. It was too vast. Elon and the Putz are saying these nearby...

The trend of school fires in my country is alarming. Days after a dormitory fire claimed lives of over 20 pupils, about four other school dormitories have been burnt. Isiolo Girls' High School, Ortum Boys Secondary School and...

I went to the kitchen for something to eat and although I have several ingredients, I wanted rice.
So rice it was. While the water was put to boil, I fried the rice with crushed garlic, salt and more oil than my mother´s recipe....

Due to the extreme heat (and maybe some very bad people) there have been many big fires some of them near towns where people live.
I just heard that a fireman had died while he was trying to put off the fire. The wind is not...

It has been snowing here every day for about a week. Makes it cold and uncomfortable instead of the breezy spring I would like to see. Now it is raining. I do hope that all this rain and snow is going to help with the drought we...

The air quality is horrible here today, the smoke is awful.
Air quality is at 209, very unhealthy, ugh, and my asthma isn’t loving this.
Definitely not a day, for anyone to be out in the weather, who does not need to be.

Good evening friends
I managed to clear all the old notifications, and I can't read a lot of your discussions, because I had a lot of obligations. The kitchen is not ready yet, I hope to finally order it on Monday.
It will be...

Please let me know how things are with you. Hopefully, you're still holding steady. Or, if you needed to evacuate, you found a safe haven. I'm in NorCal. A couple of hours north of San Francisco. There aren't any fires in the...

Yosemite National Park, which is about an hour away from us, due to the smoke. It’s bad here, but even worse there.
I’m hoping to go get some photos there sometime but not while everything is shrouded in smoke.
I’m looking...

We went on alert very early Monday morning and then got the alert to go. It was a madhouse moving nine cats, three dogs, six horses and one donkey out.
I had packed a bag and got my little safe ready to load when we hit level 1....
