I always see the cooks on tv who have fresh herbs growing in their kitchen. I am trying this year for myself with small decorative planters and the herbs are: fresh parsely, basil and chives. Don't know how well it will turn out...

What kind of fresh herbs do you use in fresh salads? I just cut some Caraway from my very small her garden and am going to try it in my lettuce salad, but would love some other ideas for great herbs that you use!

I started to learn how to cook at quite a late stage - in my early 20s. And I am thoroughly enjoying myself now. I don't have the basic knowledge that my BF and my mother seem to have - they just KNOW what ingredients besst suit...
