What do you do for a bump on the head?

My 17 month old just fell off his very low chair and and banged his head on our concrete floor. He instantly got a massive goose egg on his forehead. Now, I´m from Canada and in my family, the most we ever did for a bump like this...

My son falls constantly. Granted he's two and has been walking only a few months but he falls at least 50 or so times in a day. Let me give you some background on him. He was completely deaf when he was born due to a cleft palate....
