I learned this word years ago, probably in 4th or 5th grade. I saw it tonight and it was familiar, but I didn't remember its exact meaning.
Many English words are homophones. Some of them are more commonly misused than others....

Welcome to today's topic - Typos.
You might think typos are easy to spot especially if the word is misspelled. However, what about words that aren't misspelled and are still typos. Spellchecker won't catch those...

Something jolted a memory today, probably an automatic correction of someone misusing "youse" instead of "you", a common occurrence hereabouts.
Before long, a newspaper-style headline was rattling around my head:
[b]Youse ewes...
