Why do humming birds fight over the feeder?

I have 4 so far humming birds that constantly fight over my feeder. They spend more time fighting over it than they do drinkng from it. They're like little torpedos going after each other. Why?

Hummingbirds!

It's that time of the year when the hummingbirds return. I've got my feeder out and am waiting for the first 'scout' to show up. Have the hummingbirds returned at your house?
