This question occurred in my mind while I was suffering from great pain of being neglected, rejected and verbally abused... Is there really a prize when you get to hurt a lot of people?

But words will never hurt me. I remember this saying when I was a child. Why did parents teach this? Especially as a child, words did hurt me. Words can hurt you worse then sticks and stones. Does anyone believe this as well?...
