Is that safe surfing internet using virtual machine ?

I really afraid if I get virus, trojan or another bad things attack my computer. I think all of the people who using internet is feel like that too. I have been suggested by my friend to use a virtual machine to surfing internet....

Hi there, I constantly hear people saying how unsafe the internet is, surely the internet is only unsafe if people allow it to be? Millions of people are helped by it every day, surely this is a good thing? What do you think?
