Anyone played the Kid Icarus game?

It is actually a NES game that has a sequel for the Nintendo 3DS. I have played all the Kid Icarus games and I am a bit disappointed with the latest one which is more an action game does not really resemble the original games...

I heard a rumour that Pit is returning ala Metroid on the Wii. I don't know if there is any truth to this rumour but the prospect of playing an updated Icarus is making me drool! I downloaded the original for the virtual console...

Have you played the underrated nintendo classic, Kid Icarus?

I've been playing this game on my Wii lately and it seems pretty fun. It definitely has an old-school challenge to it. I must be bad, because it took me awhile just to beat the first level.
