I have my 3 months old website but the traffic is very low. Can anybody here can explain to me what adsense mean by cost-per-1000 impressions (CPM) ad. Thank you

I think mylot and other social sites have low traffic on public holidays like on new year eve. Is it really so? Have you experienced the same thing?
