Why do you think sexual lyrics are popular to dance songs?

Songs that were suggestive had been around since the beginning of time but I notice they were getting more prevalent these days. Some of these sexual songs are written in a more subtle or classy manner and some of them are trashy....

Does it ever irritate you when you favorite indie/underground artist or band makes it big? Like when you think you are one of the only people to listen to their awesome music and then not 2 weeks later their music is ALL over MTV?...
