We have a new mama cat with kittens that are 15 days old at the moment. Mama has Mastistis and is on antibiotics but her nipples and surrounding areas are so gross from "popping" that we have placed a sock over her belly so...

Just wondering if anyone has any information or experiences with mastitis??? It's been three months since I stopped breastfeeding (did it over 3 days was told it was way too quick). I didnt have sore nipples or cracked nipples...
