George and I slept in a little bit. In the process, someone approached our door, but didn't ring our doorbell. It happened to be our next door neighbor, and some guy. I don't know why they left or what they were doing around our...

People talk about having the Monday morning blues.
It’s the day that most people have to get up early to go to work, after having a lovely weekend with family and friends.
For retired people obviously, it’s different as they...

George is awake, but reluctant to get out of bed. He was...

I tend to be an early riser, usually getting up around 5am or 530am, and rarely sleep in. I like to have the whole day ahead of me. It wasn't always this way for me. In my younger years I was a night owl, and long preferred second...

Every morning, I start my day with a quiet cup of coffee, sitting by the window and watching the world wake up. It’s a small ritual, but it grounds me. The calm of the early hours gives me time to gather my thoughts, plan my day,...

Since George's come home from the stroke, I've gotten up along with him. Only recently, have I let myself break that habit. He's much happier, because he can be alone in the living room, while I rest under the covers. However,...

I would like to know, what time do you usually wake up every day. I wake up around 8-9, sometimes earlier. My cats often wake me up early, sometimes too early. They start running around the flat around 4-5 am... That's not cool, I...

I never liked coffee. So I have never had the urge to have any. Both my parents drank coffee for years. Some people do a pot of coffee in the morning. Other people go to Duncan Donuts or Starbucks for their coffee of choice. Could...

The weatherman this morning said, "Good morning, folks. While you were sleeping, I was tracking this snow, and it looks like it's packing up and moving on outta here."
I looked out my window and all's I'll say is it isn't doing...

Good morning! Today is the last day of March. Where does the time go??! Seriously! Woke up to my alarm on my phone, dragged my son out of bed, got him cereal and then got him to school. I came back to the house to still see my...

We are not coffee snobs. I am fine with something like Beaumont that we get from Aldi. Chase and Sandborn we get from Menards. Or Kroger's very own we get at Ruler Foods.
And that's saying something considering I only drink my...

If I have not mentioned it, I got to have my coffee. And when I travel on business it is not uncommon for me to ask for extra coffee packets so I can have as many cups as I want.
Many of the hotels have coffee available in the...

This morning I woke up and was wide awake around eight Am, thanks to the time change. I kind of forced myself to lie in bed another hour, because I wasn't really ready to start my day. Then, when I finally did, Chilly came flying...

No, no. Not just because my wife happens to be named Dawn, and when I got up this morning she happened to be turned away from me in the bed.
I just got up around a little after 5am and got my day started.
Not that that is...

I went ahead and called my eye doctor's office today. Better to take care of it now than wait. They had my post-operative appointment in the morning and my week after surgery one also in the mornings.
I DON'T DO MORNINGS!
Why?...

I love my coffee, but I also love my money. So, why not get the best of both worlds and get some pretty good coffee that is also cheap?
Exactly the way the mind of Porwest thinks, right?
Besides the fact that most of what I buy...

Pretty close to freezing. But this week we will have 70 degree days.
Enjoying the nice cool fall air finally. Lots of sunshine as well.
