Signs and symptoms:
--Burning due to break of pre-corneal tear film.
--Photophobia due to affecting cornea.
--Watering due to friction of the cornea with eye lashes.
--Madarosis.
--Poliosis.
--Itching.
--Gritting
--Greasy eye lashes.
Secondary cause by blepharitis:
--Dry eye.
--Conjunctivis.
--Keratitis.
--Stye.
--Meibomitis.
--Chalazion.
Organism: Stephylococcus.
Management:
--Lid hygiene.
--Warm compress.
--Systemic tetracycline.
--Erythromycin for children.
--Artificial tear eye drop.
--Antibiotic eye drop.
--Steroid eye drop depend on the severity of the inflammation.
Classification:
--Anterior or seborrhoeic blepharitis.
--Posterior or ulcerative blepharitis.
