Man: Good or Bad Creature?

I see two opposite opinion about the original characteristic of human beings. One says that man basically is good creature while another says human beings is basically bad. Which one do you agree with?

archaeological researches unearth bones and fossils pointing the existense of man,prior to adam creation as the well known first man...if that so where did man came from...from apes?
