How do you select your parking spot?

I am not that picky when it comes to parking spots. But, for my fiancé he prefers the closest one. He'll circle around looking for a closer spot but after two times, and he can't find a close spot - he'll pick whichever one...

Today was hectic...both my sister and I attend the same class this morning...we arrived in school at 9:20 and the class starts at 9:30. There's 10min left to park and walk to class...you would think there should be enough time...
