How do you deal with pick pockets?

Sometimes your are in a large crowd and persons pick your pocket without you even knowing. Sometimes you can really feel hurt because most of the items that they take are rather valuable to you? How do you deal with pick pockets...

Here's something we seldom think of these days, but the way things are these days...boy, it sure would be "lucrative" to the pickers! Back packs, open purses and sitting at Starbucks and dealing with a laptop - all eyes are off...
