What do you use to clean your dogs ears?

I have always just wet down a q-tip and cleaned the safe zone of the ears. My dogs are good and will sit when I do there ears and nails. I am looking for ideas on some kind of liquid that anyone uses for their ears?

I didn't start using them until college. My mom never taught me to clean my ears like that. I have heard that really you shouldn't do that anyway and that earwax is good for you. Do you use Qtips to clean your ears?
