How bad is racial discrimantion?

I am an Asian, but so far have not encountered racist yet. Just wonderin how bad it is to have such a word. Why do people discrimanate when we are all made in the likeness of GOd?

i read story about racial discrimanation and most common country which doing this is U.S.A. according to reader digest most american discrimanate some other races due to the level of advancement in there country.i dont believe it...
