Someone from Arizona was in the store where I work recently and happened to mention that rattlesnakes there are evolving to lose their rattles. That would mean that the warning they give before they strike will be gone.

It was two years ago that we had our first rattle snake encounter. Richard saw a medium sized one in the front yard, up close and personal. It slithered into our rock wall before he could do anything.
