Why are the stars different colors?

I am fairly new, and I have just found out that you get a star after 100 posts. Now I have noticed that the stars are different colors. Mine is red. I have seen yellow, white and blue. What does this mean?

Being a complete noobee, I have been reading through various discussions and have noticed stars next to some participants names, also heard mention of red stars, can someone enlighten me please?

A blue star in Mylot

Hi, I am new to mylot, only joined a month back. I have completed 100 discussions and got red star with 3 written in that. So what is a blue star and when does one get it? What should I do for that? Someone, please do tell me....

I've been noticing red and blue stars with numbers above the names of people responding to my posts. What the deal with the stars?
