Up date on Jack Cat

For those that doen't know Jack Cat was a stray. Hubby found him at the barn and insisted he was so friendly he needed to become a house cat. He was very thin and now exceeds 15 pounds, if allowed he would eat all the time....

Has anyone had success training their cat to use the toilet?

The idea of my cat using the toilet, instead of his litter box, really appeals to me. Just wondering if anyone has done this, and how you did it. I am sure the younger the cat is the better your results will be. Miles is 2.

How do you get a cat that is scared of everything to become friendly?

This cat was declawed by its previous owners and I can imagine she hates humans for this! She won't let you pick her up, and she's always so tense when you pet her. Any suggestions?
