So, The Mister has 5 hard boiled eggs every week….he takes them to work with him and has one a day …..
He saves the shells and brings them home for me .
I crush them and use them in the garden.
They are a great source of calcium...

The courgette seeds I planted at the beginning of May are strong enough and big enough to be planted in the garden now.

Well. Okay, so maybe I have gone a bit OTT with that , but I kid you not ….there are about a dozen little cauliflower shoots that have come through overnight.
I am so pleased.
Obviously nothing is guaranteed, they may not grow,...

We had rain late last night but this morning the weather is beautiful ….typical of our British weather !
We will spend some time in the garden , getting rid of the weeds …..some are like pretty flowers and we do leave them until...

So the Easter deals on veggies continues …..
This morning I went to Lidl and got a bag of carrots for 4p and three bunches of Spring onions for 8p each ….grand total 28p.
Carrots should be 59p and onions 69p, so the total should...

It seems to be a thing now at Christmas and Easter that all the supermarkets have their veggies at silly prices….
Lots have started today …..prices range from 15p per item to an amazing 4p per item …..

We went to the garden centre a few weeks ago and got some plants. We have had to keep them in the carport, which is as warm as a greenhouse, we have tended them and I have talked to them ….The Mister rolls his eyes at me doing...

We visited the farm shop yesturday, and it got me thinking about veggies….
My favourite is sprouts …..it’s not a popular choice I know, but it’s my number one.
I like cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, beetroot, swede and most others...

Well, we do love a carvery.
Tonight I had Turkey, pork and beef.
The Mister had gammon and Turkey.
We each had a Yorkshire pudding and gravy.
For veggies I had roast potatoes in dripping, Mac cheese, roast parsnips, red cabbage,...

I got this small roast at the Meridian Market. It is a small grocery that also sells "distressed" groceries, or repacks from bulk to smaller packages. It is a place I always save money.
