This is a stupid story that will hopefully cheer up Mike @Scarred4Lyfe.
My cat Timmy gets these stomach issues involving hairballs. Serious problems, needed emergency surgery to have one removed when he was only 6.
Back at home...

I have written about my friend and her husband both were into seeking divorce. Time seems to have played a role in that they are both quite laid back with this decision.
At the moment they are living separately but are in touch...

We have a lot of these little wild strawberry plants in the garden – sometimes also known as alpine strawberries. They look so dainty but in fact they are tough little plants that would quickly take over my entire veg. plot if I...

I love this word. Yeah, I'm still listening to music. Danny's Song by Loggins and Messina is on right now. I went to one of their concerts. Great sound.
But, it reminded me of peaceful days. I was a hippie chick in my teens....

There's this vine that grows right in front of our house and it has this pretty white flower. It's a weed actually and it grows quite pretty fast. It should be taken out but I love the white flowers. So I'm leaving it be for the...

We aren't super big on the Black Friday shopping. We usually do it online. But when we went to the smoke shop last week, the owner told us they were doing a Black Friday sale so we decided that we would stop by if it worked out....

Gardening involves weeding.
Even creating a ‘wildflower garden’ still involves a certain amount of weeding if you don’t want the more thuggish plants to take over.
I try to avoid it as much as possible by filling the flower...

As the weather heats up, it seems the fleabane weeds spread more and more. I don't mind these in my garden. But not in the lawn. They take over the grass.
The lawnmower will get rid of these for today. But tomorrow they will grow...

A few years ago I saw these tiny blooms in the yard. After researching I found they are weeds called Fleabane. And are in the Aster family. Some will let them grow, and I do as well.
Fleabane is often seen growing in pastures, in...

I took a hit from my vape pen (for weed, not nicotine) my throat still hurts and so does my head, but I will probably do it again. I didn’t realize vape pens could burn the same way smoking a joint does. Any head started hurting...

Yesterday was April 20th also known as 420 national stoners day where people smoke lots of marijuana. It’s funny that this quarantine would come in April 2020 when it is stoner day all month long (april is the 4th month of the...

Evidently I need a new bottle.
I mixed it (found the recipe for weed killer with vinegar, dish soap, and salt on line) in and old empty weed killer bottle I had in the backyard, but when I took the stuff out front to try to...

Next in the wildflower succession, after the lady’s bedstraw, came harebells, sometimes known as the Scottish bluebell.
I have always loved these dainty-looking little flowers, and there always were one or two plants that would...

I wrote before about how I had been avoiding mowing the lawn too much and instead encouraging my favourite wild flowers to spread, and in early summer the result was an expanding patch of ‘Fox-and-cubs’ with their sunny orange...

When you can have an orange one?
I have been encouraging these plants because I love the vivid colour of the flowers. Bees and hoverflies also love them. They are called ‘Fox and cubs’ or ‘orange hawkbit’ (Pilosella...
