How far are you in Wii boxing?

I'm still an amateur. I'm in the 800-900 range. My opponent is so dang hard to knock out. I hold my hands up to block and it doesn't do much good. I often lose grip of the nunchuk too. Doesn't this game seem kind of unresponsive...
