Sony PlayStation Portable

A cool picture of the Sony PlayStation Portable Gaming console. It is a very popular portable entertainment console. So far it has 2 versions, the Sony PSP Fat and the Sony PSP Slim and Lite. The former was released in 2001 while the latter in 2004. The Slim and Lite has better hardware and as it's name suggests, is lighter. The PSP has powerful gaming capability and comes in a wide variety of colours and skins, the most popular being piano black. It renders graphics that are the intermediate of the PlayStation 1 and Playstation 2.

psp 3000

In comparison to the PSP-2000, the PSP-3000 has an improved LCD screen with an increased colour range, five times the contrast ratio, half the pixel response time to reduce ghosting and blurring effects, and antireflective technology to improve outdoor playability. The screen draws more current than the screen for the PSP-2000, initially causing a reduction in the console's battery life by "about 20 minutes" according to SCEA director of hardware marketing John Koller. However, he released a statement retracting this comment, saying that, "the screen of the new PSP draws a little more power" but he claims that, "our engineers in Japan worked to reduce the power consumption of the overall system including its components." It has an integrated microphone, the goal of which is to establish the PSP as "a viable communication device" according to Sony Europe boss David Reeves. PSP games will now be playable on interlaced (non-progressive scan) televisions via composite video cables.[1] The start and select buttons have changed from semi-circles to ovals, with the home button being replaced by a "PS Button" similar to the PS3's Dualshock 3. - wikipedia.org

psp 3000

Last week, a FCC filing all but confirmed the existence of a new PSP...and now, SCEE's David Reeves has announced the PSP-3000 during Sony's press conference at the Leipzig Games Convention. We're still gathering in as many details as possible, but we can tell you that it's going to use a "slimmer and lighter case" and will also boast "crisper colors and more intensity when outside in natural light." The "enhanced LCD screen" helps in this capacity. Furthermore, as many predicted through past rumors, Reeves revealed Sony will be including a built-in microphone and Skype functionality with the PSP-3000. Now, as for the name itself, we're not sure if it's going to get a nickname - like the "PSP Slim" for the PSP-2000 - because we only know it now as the PSP-3000. But either way, we're happy that it's coming, and it will launch on October 15 for the price of 199 Euros in PAL regions. At that time, you can pick up any one of 8 special PSP/game bundles that include the likes of FIFA 09, Harry Potter, Buzz!: Master Quiz, etc. Obviously, the PSP-3000 is coming to North America, too, but as this is a European conference, they're only talking about information related to that territory. Well, at least for now. The first cosmetic renovation came at the end of 2007, which fueled a spike in sales that continues to this day. Of course, software like Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII and God of War: Chains of Olympus (and Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G in Japan) helped a great deal as well. Hey, we know there are a lot of people out there looking for an excuse to finally buy a PSP! - psxextreme.com

PSP - Tekken Dark Resurrection

Following the conclusion of the King of Iron Fist Tournament 4, Heihachi Mishima defeated Kazuya Mishima and led him to Honmaru Temple, planning to let both his son Kazuya and his grandson, Jin Kazama, battle and steal their respective "Devil Genes." However, Jin defeats both of his predecessors and flies away, leaving the latter two unconscious. Shortly after, several Jack-4 robots invade the compound, programmed to take Heihachi's life. Initially, Kazuya and Heihachi fight the Jack-4s as a team, but eventually Kazuya throws Heihachi across the room as soon as he notices that Heihachi is getting tired. Then, Kazuya turns into Devil Kazuya and escapes, leaving Heihachi for dead. They quickly overwhelm him and self-destruct, leaving Heihachi seemingly dead. The explosion however, revives Heihachi's father Jinpachi Mishima from his 50 year slumber chained up beneath the Temple, and proceeds to reclaim the Mishima Zaibatsu. A few months later, the King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 is announced. It turns out that Heihachi in fact survived the explosion, and now pledges to find out and "break the neck of the one who started this ridiculous tournament!" - wikipedia.org
