The basil (in the middle/back) is about big enough to snip off for cuttings to re-root and I will put them in glasses of water right there in the white spaces between the other plants where they can enjoy the bright lights. That will free up a grow hole for another batch of romaine lettuce. Yayyy. In this way, I do manage to grow more than just 7 plants in each AeroGarden, and in fact, I put a few more of my own hydroponic planters off to the side so that the light is not wasted. I call those my little hitch-hikers, and will post a photo of them eventually.

The basil is about big enough to cut off and re-root in a glass which will sit in one of the spaces you see empty here, and then I can start a few more seeds in the grow hole it was in. Yayyy! More Romaine, I think!
