 | The day my grandson was born | On March 15th of this year, I received a phone call from my son telling me of the news. His wife had just given birth. Even though he had arrived 3 weeks early, my newest grandson was doing well. One of the first things that came to mind after hearing the details was the fact that March 15th was also the anniversary of my beloved grandfather's passing. I had always been quite close to my mother's father and I felt pleasantly surprised about this little coincidence. But then as was about I hung up the phone, I suddenly caught myself mid thought. There would be no calling my mother to share the good news, not ever. Sadly she had passed away a year before. I stood quietly, a sad feeling washed over me. But then, maybe she already knew, I remember thinking to myself. Yes, yes there are no coincidences. After all it was March 15th. I was so delighted just thinking of the whole thing. My boyfriend was out in the garage so I stepped out back to let him know that the baby had arrived. Just as I was in the middle of giving him the news, I happened to look up. The sky was so blue, and there was but one huge cloud, and it was directly above our house. "Oh my goodness! Look up, would you look!" I hollered and ran back inside to get my camera. To my complete astonishment, it was still there. The only cloud in the sky and it was clearly a heart! I was absolutely beside myself! I am still amazed every time that I think of it. This heart-cloud surely was a sign from Heaven. It was such an incredible sight, I was very glad that my boyfriend was there witnessing this with me because my sons would have thought I had finally lost my mind! It was for Baby Domenic. | |
