This is the rarest of all natural occuring atmospheric phenomena. The picture was captured the week of Valentine's Day on the Idaho/Washington border. The event lasted about one hour. Clouds must be cirrus, at least 20K feet in the air with just the right amount of ice crystals and the sun has to hit the clouds at precisely 58 degrees.

Rafting on the Salmon River

This is from a family camping trip at Deer Gulch in Idaho. We all decided to cool off in the afternoon and went on a little rafting trip. We had 2 adults and 4 kids in the raft. Boy you never realize how scared kids are of water until you take them rafting. In the end, everyone had a great time.

Sunset from my deck

This is a sunset from the deck in the backyard at my home in Idaho. I am from California, so imagine seeing a shot like this for the 1st time. I like to sit out on this deck, start a fire, and kick back with a Bud Light. For those of you who do not have the chance to get out much, take a vacation to Idaho. It could change your life.

Birdhouse at the local zoo

This is a picture of a birdhouse at our local zoo. Ross Park Zoo is dedicated to animals which are native to Idaho. Local residents can support the zoo through memberships to the Pocatello Zoological Society. Ross Park Zoo offers several educational and fun activities throughout the year such as kid's classes, Charley the Grizzly Bear's Birthday Party, Ice Cream Zoofari, and Boo at the Zoo.
