Do you read the "Preface" in the books?

to my knowledge,i have red only once i guess. Generally i dont read them,as i find no use in it.. Do you find any use in it? Do you read them?

Hi, I am a book-worm and read lots of them.Whenever I buy any of these, I would see the author's praises and the basic storyline of the book.What do you see before buying a book.
