This mornings task is filling...

There are quite a few “creators” I follow on social media (because calling them “people I watch from a distance like a raccoon with Wi-Fi” doesn’t sound as nice). One of my favorites is B. Dylan Hollis. He’s a self-taught...

Several weeks before my mother-in-law passed away, she made a lot of cabbage burger "rolls" as she made the best cabbage burgers/rolls. We stopped by her house to see what all she was up to and she sent us a lot home. She also...

Sometimes I like to try something a little different for dinner. The snag is that Little One is very resistant to trying anything that isn’t purely meat based (she has totally not embraced the ‘plant-based foods’ movement...

Dinner was palak paneer today. My day was okay. I love palak paneer; it’s such a comforting meal. The rich, creamy spinach puree with soft paneer cubes is just so satisfying. Btw paneer is like tofu save the fact its made from...

Lidl has ‘flavour of the week’ promotions, focussing on a different country each time. I didn’t pay all that much attention to them until recently when they focussed on Italy, and I noticed that they had begun to include a recipe...

Last autumn I stopped at a shop I don’t usually visit (because it isn’t that convenient, only I happened to be passing that day) and found they had a whole stack of jars of chestnut puree, reduced from £1.50 to 36p each. And the...

I have been working my way through a pile of old ‘Good Food’ magazines I was given, and trying out a few new recipes. I found one for ‘pear and mincemeat crumble cake’ and thought I would give it a try – we still had a jar of...

If I see a tempting-looking recipe in a magazine I like to save it to try one day. I’ve been doing this for years and have built up quite a collection, and one of the recipes I had saved for future use was for hot cross buns...

After my morning online classes, I decided to cook a new recipe called Odong Sardines. It does not look good with my photo, but it tastes good. I just used a canned of sardines, noodles, and some spices. I cannot wait to try a new...
