In my opinion YES in certain ways because, it can buy you material things that make life easier-for example a car(makes it easier and faster to get around)

I use to be scared to sleep alone in my room in the dark-I always liked to have some type of light on whether it was from a night light or the T.V.-Even now I still fall asleep with the T.v. on every now & then.
